lucky 13, and a b18
well, im sure lots have seen and heard of my wonderful 5 days i had with matts 89 marroon ef before i totalled it the engine and trans survived the
crash, as did some of the suspension and rear parts, which will be transferred into a new shell i just purchased, a teal green 91 si, and it was a 1
owner car too! it had a broken motor mount and hadn't been driven in 6 years so i got it for 600. the body is nice, the interior is mint, and
the chassis is nice and strait. im going to try my hardest to replicate the look of the marroon car, just with the green where the red was. i have 2
mint black si bumpers for the front and back, which i think will look good once the cf hood is on, and the rim centers are painted black.
for those that don't know of the car, this is what i first started with
and then my f**k up 5 days later
everytime i see that picture a tear comes to my eye :'(
this will be the new shell for the awesome punched out b18a1 that the marroon car had, the springs and the rear shocks, the exhaust, master cylinder,
and a few other things im sure.
and i threw the new rims on tonight, they need to be repaired and painted badly.
i also picked up these nice black bumpers for the red car in hopes of fixing it, but im thinking they will look pretty slick on the green car with
the black center rims, and dark cf hood. opinions???? also scored a half rad too so ill be ready for the turbo when the time comes.
more pics will follow once i get both cars back to my shop over on the island. one car may be dead, but ill rebuild it, just in not as nice of a color
:s

If your trying to imply what I think you are you can think again. Everything in the front suspention of that car minus the shocks and springs was less
then a year old. the upper ball joints were just done with all new cotter pins...

what do you think im implying? that the nut came off because it wasnt on correctly or there was no cotter pin? was it your car or did you do the
install or something??
why not just let the owner reply without bullying him into being quiet... if he started taking things apart then it would make sense the BJ would
still be in tact with the spindle hanging there...

epic fail, i dont think boosting it would be a wise choice on your part since u cant even handle a stock b18. you still havent told us how u crashed
it, my guess is you lost control and smacked the curb.

ok first off, matt (hybridcx) did an excellent job building that car, it was absolutely mint and handled like a dream. accident was completely my
fault, going to fast into a corner that slopes completely the wrong way. had the road been sloped the right way or even just flat it would have went
just fine. again the accident was totally my fault, no one elses. im just glad me and my buddy walked away, with him just having a sore neck.
i've had faster vehicles before, this is my first accident in 9 years of driving, i dont quite know why i felt the need to take off so fast,
still boggles my mind.
anyways, at least the parts that he spent the most money on are still gonna go to good use in the new car, if i had hit the curb head on the motor and
trans would have been toast, if i tried to power through the corner i would have plowed into the truck coming the other way. only one shock got
shmucked, all the springs are still good, exhaust, 2 rims and tires, engine, trans, ecu, harness, crazy clutch, cf hood (just gonna use hood pins),
all the black si interior & dash, doors, hatch, and various other parts as well, which is probably still worth 1400 in parts, or more, that engine
only has 10k on it, and its bored out too.
